* Rider and Horse Training, Horsemanship. Lessons from the ground up. Safety and ground training, including long-lining, lungeing for education and body awareness, riding from beginner to competition

* Gymnastic Vaulting. educating the vaulting horse, horse and rider balance exercises,   vaulting for fitness and fun – exercises on the horse, vaulting for rehabilitation – mature riders    and injury rehabilitation.

* Equine Assisted Learning: Horses Helping Humans. The horse assists the human in developing trust, confidence, self-esteem, relationships, leadership, interaction, focus and direction, and emotional and mental benefits. This is all about developing physical, mental and emotional balance, cognitive and motor skills, and touch and sensory experiences

Within these disciplines, communication with the horse is introduced from the horse’s perspective. Communication is the connection we seek, both with our horse and within ourselves. This may take the form of physical touch, the spoken word and sounds, body language, ground and ridden aids, but above all, communication with the horse comes from within. The horse asks for clear, genuine guidance; we must be able to offer clear and genuine direction, without any desire or need to manipulate or dominate the horse.

This way of being, is the basis for the learning and teaching disciplines of  Equconnect – Pure Equine Experience.

Im looking for a trainer to re train my 6 yr old mare.
How much do you charge to keep and train my mare for a week or two weeks? I live in Bacchus Marsh.

    Thank you, Carli.

    • Misha Zeman says:

      Hi Carli,
I live in NSW, however I dont take horses for re-training. I do give lessons with you and your horse, allowing you to develop and train with your mare. You may need to keep looking for a local trainer or instructor. If you do, keep in mind what it is you would like to do with your mare in the future. I do come to Victoria regularly, and am more than willing to have a one-on one training session with you, or you are welcome to attend a one or two day clinic. Thanks very much, Misha.

i want to start this as my career or something when im older as im only 15 at this time.

    • Misha Zeman says:

      Hi Bowen,
That is great that you want to work with horses. You may need to google equine massage and research the colleges and TAFEs in sydney to find an accredited equine massage course.
The courses and seminars I provide are not accredited by themselves, but I have units of competency that are part of a full accredited course.
Some colleges and training organisations and TAFEs accept under 18 year olds, just check with the course provider that you find.
Also try National College of Traditional Medicine, a private certified provider in Melbourne, they ocassionally offer NSW courses as well.
best wishes and enjoy the horses!

  4. Kate says:

Hi there, my name is Kate im 22 and i live in Melbourne.
I am very interested in doing some training in massage therapy and horsemanship. I spent nearly 15 years being around and working at an equestrian centre but have never owned my own horse due to lack of funds and time commitments… Due to vce and uni i have been unable to continue with my passion. Now that i have finished uni in an unrelated field i want to focus on my dream which is working with horses. However I dont know where to start. I am hard working and even more so when it comes to animals… Can you give me any advice as to where to start as i desperatly need to be wit horses again?? Any advice will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! :) thanks

    • Misha Zeman says:

      Hi Kate,
The field of horsemanship is quite extensive and may take some time to really explore.
Other than the mainstream equestrian activities at teaching centres, pony club and adult riding club, there is:
      * assisting at eventing days, * breeding stud farms, * rehabilitation farms * RDA centres * racing TB, SB and Arabs * endurance training and competitions
      * assisting at equine facilitated learning sessions * finding and assisting at private horse and people rehabilitation, training, and care centres.

Networking, finding and offering assistance to these places may be a start to experiencing and learning the different avenues with which to work with horses. Some are just with horses, some are with horses and people.

Please go to the contacts page for links and to start networking!
for further information, please e-mail Misha Zeman on naggs4eva@live.com.au

      Cheers!
      Misha zeman
